kakkukukkar0kk3rz: I mean does the XA2 with sailfishOS on ti prevents the execution of ATCommands. Many new phones isolate quite well the cell from the rest of the phone. If not via hardware, then via software. What about the XA2 with Sailfish? This is important because the Simjacker attack allows pretty much anyone with your phone number to run ATCommands remotly05:21
kakkukukkaIf somebody knows how I could contact Jolla for this question, please let me know by PM05:26
r0kk3rztheres nothing explicitly in sailfish to stop this05:33
r0kk3rzand it sounds like this simjacker thing is below the OS level anyway05:35
kakkukukkaI see :(06:31
kakkukukkaIt would be nice if at least, Sailfish did not accept ATCommands06:32
r0kk3rzkakkukukka: well, it doesnt, at commands are a modem thing07:24
x2s.oO( wait, what, 3.2.0 supports a phone that hasn't been on the market for 5 years? Well, my X is getting old anyway ;P )09:17
x2soh, wait, read the news wrong.09:17
x2sstill a 10 should be better than a crashing gsm modem and missing business calls thanks to it09:18
adantesnyctea: could you try to access a site with webgl on your gemini?10:33
adantesnyctea: in mine it crashes10:33
adantesprobably because of community edition; in sailfsh X in XA2 works fine10:33
nycteaadantes, can you link a site with webgl? :P10:36
adantesyes10:36
adanteshttp://webglsamples.org10:36
adantesblob for example10:36
adantesin my gemini community edition, crashes the browser10:36
adantesfor my amazement, it ran webgl, but after 1 sec it goes off10:37
adantestoday I've been spending some time with libgdx; and I guess hat somthing nice may be done with it10:38
adantesbut developing solely with gemini, to see the output, via html browser would be great10:38
nycteait works here, the blob10:41
adantesyou've got the paid version right?10:42
nycteayes10:42
adanteswell, guess I mudt migraste as well :-P10:42
adantesbtw, can you insert the unlock code via keyboard?10:43
nycteathe SIM unlock?10:43
adantesscreen lock10:43
nycteaoh I don't have one10:43
nyctealet me try10:43
adanteswhenever you turn off tour screen10:43
nycteaI can10:45
adanteshumm10:45
adantesnow its defnetly worth the buy10:45
nycteaI must, even - when I don't I've not 'enter'10:45
adantesI'd support the devs even though I'd not install it; but now the reasons are more than plenty10:46
nycteaoh, the checkmark only appears after 5 numbers10:46
adantesits normal10:46
nycteawhen I tried setting it, I just entered 1234<enter> on the keyboard10:47
nycteaso I couldn't unlock using the screen10:47
adantesman, looking at webgl in depth.. this is definetly the way to go10:47
nycteabecause the checkmark didn't show up10:47
adantesusing libgdx you can even create an interface ui10:47
adantespum. I'm convinced totaly10:47
adantesnow sailish may hae some more traction, if the minimum requirements to use any app is the regulsr briwser10:48
adanteshow shall we demonstrate this to #flippinusers?10:49

kakkukukkar0kk3rz: at commands is a modem thing but would not it be possible to mitigate that one could access the OS this way?16:05
kakkukukkaI mean prevent somebody to access the OS16:06
r0kk3rznot totally16:43
r0kk3rzmany modems are integrated with the soc, with shared memory access16:43
adantesnyctea: kudus buddy!16:52
adantesnyctea: just updated sailfish and it seems to fit gemini like a glove16:52
adantesbrowser works like you said, with wegl16:53
adantes*webgl16:53
adantesui swipes like sfos 3 in xa216:54
adantespin via keyboard16:54
nycteayaay16:54
adantessmall, details that make the experience so much better16:54
adantesseems more fluid as well16:54
adanteswell spent 30 euris16:54
adanteskudus to all the team16:55
adanteswith this, plus the 50 for tha xa2, plus another 50 for a first xperia x I had, when sfos2.1 I guess my contribution is done16:56
citrullinHey, I just got a short question. I just read about Sailfish OS. I work with Microcontroller. 6LoWPAN and the adaption layer for Bluetooth is really interesting for me. Since Sailfish OS uses the linux kernel, I wanted to know: 1. What version are you using? 2. Is it possible to use the 6LoWPAN kernel module in Sailfish?18:00
Mister_Magistercitrullin: kernel version depends on device18:08
citrullinI got a One Plus X here. Found a post in a forum to run Sailfish on it. But let's say I can get the newest. What kernel would it be?18:09
citrullinBut the 6LoWPAN question is way more interesting for me. So that the smartphone can join the network and be the gateway for the network.18:10
Mister_Magistercitrullin: the same kernel the device came with18:11
Mister_Magisterwe are using andorid kernel18:11
Mister_Magisterabout the other stuff i can't say anything cause i have no idea what you are talking about18:12
citrullinYou can't upgrade to a newer one?18:12
Mister_Magisternope18:12
Mister_Magisterblobs will stop working18:12
Mister_Magisterthanks google18:12
Mister_Magisteryou can backport any module i think18:12
citrullinBut if I get the Jolla phone, this would be different, I guess, right?18:13
Mister_Magisteryeah jolla phone is super super super old18:13
citrullin"you can backport any module i think"18:13
citrullinThat would be really interesting18:13
Mister_Magister3.418:13
Mister_Magisteryour oneplus has a lot never kernel i believe18:14
Mister_Magisteryou can check in settings18:14
citrullin3.4... not that new.18:17
Mister_Magisterjolla phone is super old18:18
citrullinthe one plus has also 3.4..18:19
citrullinone plus x18:20
Mister_Magisterah18:21
Mister_Magistermy 2018 phone has 4.418:22
Mister_Magistersorry 4.918:22
Mister_Magisterso if you buy xperia 10 that is being worked on by jolla you will have quite new kernel18:22
citrullinThis is annoying. This phone is totally fine and has hardware which is fast enough.... This market is broken, if you can't upgrade your smartphone for newer kernel versions.18:24
Mister_Magistercitrullin: that's google for you18:26
Mister_Magisterthere are couple phones being worked on to have mainline linux18:27
Mister_Magisterbut that isn't really fullyworking18:27
citrullinI found this: https://github.com/Thog/android_kernel_oneplus_onyx18:31
citrullinNever heard about code aurora18:32
