inkyi mean it resets, reboots, gets me tutorial, but actually the os version is the same, and all apps are the same.08:55
inkyso i suspect that i cannot get it to reset because i did08:55
r0kk3rzhow are you resetting it?08:55
inkyssu release 3.0.0.508:55
inkymay it be?08:55

inkyhm is there other option?09:00
inkyhow would i reset it to factory, to os 1?09:00
inkyand then update it gradually to 3.09:00
inkythat is what i want to do.09:00

inkywow cool it has a dhcp server inside.09:12
inkybtw, sailfish3 does not bring us fs encryption, right?09:13
inkygood, i managed to reset it.09:13
ghosalmartinmorning, anyone know how I can clear the silicia webviews cookies and what not09:15
dragonchaserMorning09:21
dragonchaserIs there a way to force the email app to show plain text mail instead of html?09:22
muzilezsorry i lost connection i repeat09:36
muzilezhi, i just wanted to update my Xperia X to 3.0.0.5 but it hangs after "reboot" with statusbar. so i tried on commandline with ssu 3.0.0.5 and version --dup ? i read something about booting with volume + pressed, but it seems to boot normally in sfos, should it looks like different? If i try to update via shell it hangs on updating aliendalvik-control .. so i tried to update it first manually but it hangs on "instaling packages" if09:36
muzilezi try to remove the whole pkg09:36
muzilezit hangs on Resolving.. :/ any ideas? thanks in advance!09:36
leszekdragonchaser: not possible really. You can hit reply on a mail and it will open up the mail as text only in an editor09:37
leszekso the original mail will be quoted inside09:38
leszekmuzilez: are you sure it hangs on version --dup or is it just taking its time maybe?09:39
muzilezhi leszek i am sure i waited more than 30min? and as i tried to update from gui i let the phone more than 8 hours run09:40
leszekhmm...09:40
muzilezlast entry version --dup was "bla bla 84% install aliendavilk-control 1. ... 50%"09:41
muzilezok i found a possible problem internal storage full.. 0 B avaiable09:42
muzilezbut i dont know where the big files are.. or deletable cache / temp folder. any ide?A09:42
muzilezis there a way to increase the storage for alien?09:44
r0kk3rzstorage in settings09:45
muzilezuserdata 0B Free / Systemdata 624,8MB and sdcard 48,4GB09:46
r0kk3rz0b free abuserdata sounds like it09:49
muzilezi just recognized it sorry. i try to make space..09:49
muzilezis it possible to create symlinks through android storage? so i could outsorce Whatsapp for example?09:50
leszekmuzilez: needs perhaps a filesystem you link to that has proper permission support. So FAT32 might not work09:58
muzilezthe sdcard is ext4 formatted, but i am not really firm with the permissions on linux , so did you tried something before?09:59
leszeknot really09:59
leszekthough it should work10:00
muzilezi will try it later, thanks =)10:00
muzilezi considering to install sailfish x on a xperia x compact, i found a patcher for this, somebody got expirience with the performance on this?10:01
muzilezsorry for so much questions : can i see progress if i copy with storagemanager from Settings > storage?10:01
leszekmuzilez: from what I heard the Xperia X compact performs like the normal X10:05
leszekmuzilez: copy progress in some filemanagers can be seen. Otherwise not sure what you mean exactly10:05
r0kk3rznothing like breaking updates to bring all the jphone owners out of the woodworks10:07
muzilezverstehe den satz nicht10:07
muzilezok so i will try to update again, which way do you suggest? starting with + volume what should happen ? starting sfos or othermenu?10:11
muzilez3,2 gb free space could be enough10:11
r0kk3rzdo the settings ui10:11
muzilezok10:12
muzilezcould it be that i told my device that its updated already with ssu 3.0.0.5? so i cant update10:12
leszekmuzilez: just use the terminal and version --dup that should work10:14
leszekdevel-su version --dup to be precise10:14
muzilezok ty10:14
abransonleszek: you don't need to be root for version --dup. i never bother10:15
leszekabranson: oh..hmm... maybe something wrong with the permissions then on one of my devices10:16
abransonafaik it all happens in the packagekit daemon anyway, which should be the same however you dup10:17
abransonbtw it's a verb now. I dupped, you should dup. have you dupped lately?10:17
leszek:)10:18
r0kk3rzeveryday im duppening10:18
abransonwell that's a new name for launch day10:22
ghosalmartini wonder would people object to a burger menu since its an android invention of sorts10:42
lainwir3do/10:47
muzilezso updated via cli, but same install aliendalvik-control 0% hangs10:53
muzilezdamn10:53
muzilezupgrade not complete .. retry 7 of 9  usw. than upgrading system 0% install aliendalvik ... 50%10:54
muzilezmeanwhile 6GB free userdata space10:55
leszekmuzilez: try pkcon downloading the aliendalvik-control package and then manually installing it10:56
leszekwith pkcon install-local10:56
muzilezi tried that before10:56
muzilezit hanged10:56
muzilezi will be back later.. danke derweil :)10:58
henkhi11:21
pketoI would try removing the aliendalvik-control and ping coderus as he seems to be the author12:04
coderussup?12:33
leszekmuzilez left the room though apparently aliendalvik-control package is blocking his update to EA SFOS312:38
*** svartoyg is now known as svartoyg_afk12:42
dragonchaserleszek: oh... well that's really bad design :/13:13
lainwir3ddamn harbour rules13:39
lainwir3dmy app is broken and I have absolutely no way to make it work again13:39
lainwir3dbluetooth state have gotten worse and worse13:39
lainwir3dso much that I can't even ship my own qtbluetooth inside anymore13:40
lainwir3dsince I need the sdpscanner binary to be installed, and installing it as part of the rpm is forbidden13:40
lainwir3dAnd so an app that worked for several years is now dead13:41
leszeklainwir3d: I can feel your pain. Alternative would be using openrepos. Maybe talk to Jolla devs and ask for a exception or something like this13:44
r0kk3rzlainwir3d: whats the app?13:44
lainwir3dI've been thinking about openrepos, but I feel like it's too complicated for users13:44
leszekor try to workaround it somehow13:44
lainwir3dr0kk3rz: Zik manager for the Parrot Zik headphones13:45
lainwir3dnot like it's a really wide used app, but it still have some users13:45
r0kk3rzlainwir3d: and what does it need to do?13:45
lainwir3dleszek: i've been working around it since it first came into harbour, i've been trying since this morning but nothing seems to do13:46
r0kk3rzah i see now13:46
lainwir3dr0kk3rz: access to QtBluetooth, until now I shipped it with my rpm. I still do actually, but QtBluetooth needs sdpscanner binary when calling "connect"13:46
r0kk3rzsdpscanner has probably been moved into bluez5-tools13:47
r0kk3rzsince we now have bluez4 and bluez5 devices around13:47
leszekoh so lainwir3d could just depend on bluez5-tools13:47
r0kk3rzif thats allowed in harbour...13:47
leszekthough it would not work with Jolla 1 then13:47
lainwir3dI think it was installed until now, but now it isn't and it seems I'm not allowed to ship it manually13:47
leszekthen depend on it in the rpm spec13:48
lainwir3dhmmm13:48
lainwir3dI'll try to see if that's allowed13:48
lainwir3dthanks13:49
lainwir3ddidn't think that sdpscanner was part of bluez513:49
r0kk3rzmaybe its not13:50
r0kk3rzhttps://git.merproject.org/mer-core/bluez5/blob/master/rpm/bluez5.spec#L33413:50
lainwir3dapparently it's not in bluez5-utils13:50
lainwir3dlol13:50
r0kk3rzits got something called 'sdptool' though13:50
lainwir3dwell, seems like I'm stuck13:51
lainwir3donly way I see would be heavily hacking qtbluetooth13:51
r0kk3rzsnything those tools do you should be able to do over dbus13:52
r0kk3rzit might be worth waiting until next release for qt5.9 if you need to modify qtbluetooth13:52
lainwir3dtrue, but I would need to dwell into qtbluetooth a lot more than I'm doing at the moment, and I don't feel like it's worth it unfortunately...13:54
r0kk3rzunfortunately bluez4 and bluez5 are very different13:54
r0kk3rzbluez4 should still work13:54
lainwir3dor maybe I can include the source of sdptool inside my qtbluetooth library, and launch it from a thread :-/13:58
lainwir3dwell, too complicated for today, I'll see another day :P13:58
r0kk3rzi dont think shipping multiple binaries is allowed13:58
r0kk3rzthats come up before13:58
lainwir3dit's not allowed, I was thinking on modifying the source of sdpscanner, removing the "main()" and calling the function from inside qtbluetooth as a library14:00
r0kk3rzah i see, sdpscanner is a qt thing14:01
r0kk3rzits packaged seperately as qtsdpscanner14:03
r0kk3rzhttps://git.merproject.org/mer-core/qtconnectivity/blob/mer-5.6/rpm/qtconnectivity.spec#L15814:03
lainwir3dyeah, but it's not allowed either lol14:04
lainwir3dthey have bundled it separately to avoid licence issues apparently14:05
r0kk3rzyeah its not real big, just hack it into a library and static link14:07
lainwir3dprobably the easiest way14:10
