r0kk3rzmaybe we can bump sailfish:latest ? seems like 3.2 target is there00:55
T42<birdzhang> nemo:testing:hw:common has no 3.2 yet01:29
r0kk3rzthats testing01:34
spiiroinrinigus: sounds like 250 ms would be the value to use then. also, wasn't it used in the part that was already in there?06:50
rinigusspiiroin: yes, 250ms seems reasonable. It was there already and I'll stick with it06:50
mallbt: you can make 3.2.0 latest on OBS07:23
T42George D. Foster %lastname% was added by: George D. Foster %lastname%07:34
T42<dontatmepls> https://del.dog/moqesihoke08:19
T42<dontatmepls> can someone help? thx08:19
T42<birdzhang> TARGET_ARCH is armv7hl08:23
T42<birdzhang> export PORT_ARCH="armv7hl"08:23
T42<nitin_3> add this08:23
T42<nitin_3>  %define droid_target_aarch64 108:23
T42<nitin_3> to your08:23
T42<nitin_3> droid-hal-deviceCodename.spec08:23
T42<nitin_3> in rpm folder08:23
lbtmal: it's latest now :)08:27
mallbt: thanks :)08:27
T42<adampigg> Cool, i will reinstall here when it calms down!08:34
mal@adampigg interesting, i486 target in devel common built successfully now, it failed partially in 3.1.009:56
T42<adampigg> Mal, that was the symlink problem wasnt it?10:06
malmaybe10:08
T42<dontatmepls> im havin a error again lol https://del.dog/gonafepiyi13:12
T42<dontatmepls> thanks for the help,  as always13:12
deathmist@dontatmepls I assume you ran "add_new_device.sh" already as instructed in HADK? (and followed rest of the steps up to this point too)13:18
T42<dontatmepls> i reran it, said yes to overwrite and now it works, thanks13:27
T42<dontatmepls> aaaaaand of course another error, this time because of an missing package and idk how to install it inside PlatformSDK https://del.dog/veselarigo13:40
T42<dontatmepls> i hope this will be the last error ill encounter :p  sorry for being annoying13:40
deathmistthat is actually a known error, if you're building for SFOS 3.2, do `cd hybris/mw/nfcd-binder-plugin/ && git reset --hard 1.0.5 && cd -`, for 3.1 is should be 1.0.4 instead13:43
T42<dontatmepls> whats the best way of checking the currently synced version?13:44
deathmistthere is also another package failing, "ofono-ril-binder-plugin ", similarly it should be at 1.0.10 for SFOS 3.2 and 1.0.7 for 3.113:45
deathmistyou see it in the log, it's 1.1.013:45
deathmistseems ofono-ril-binder-plugin is fine for now if you're building for SFOS 3.2, btw check logs with https://piggz.co.uk/sailfishos-porters-archive/index.php for example when a package fails etc :)13:47
T42<dontatmepls> https://del.dog/edafalagax small error, isnt inside some package build so i dont even know what to do at all14:06
deathmistguess you still didn't follow HADK up to this point properly, that seems to be caused when you haven't created your droid-hal-version repo in hybris/droid-hal-version-$DEVICE, see HADK section 7.1 and check that you've done all of it (no need to re-run everything, just check) and run "build_packages.sh -v" to rebuild said package till it succeeds14:25
mal@adampigg did you notice that gst-plugins-good was successfully built on native-common15:21
T42<adampigg> Mal, is that with v4l?15:27
malyes15:28
T42<dontatmepls> https://del.dog/ufunutogat ???? what lmao15:44
T42<dontatmepls> the error cut off15:44
deathmist@dontatmepls looks good, that is a feature added quite recently, which is mic image automatic building if you already have RELEASE set during initial build_packages run. you can add something like "export RELEASE=3.2.0.12" to your ~/.hadk.env (ofc match SFOS version)15:55
deathmistafter you've done that and run just "hadk" in PLATFORM_SDK, you can build your first SFOS zip w/ "build_packages.sh -i" :)15:56
T42<dontatmepls> tysm, it doesnt error out anymore, i hope this is it with the errors at build_packages xD15:58
rinigusadampigg: any idea why would advanced camera be missing ISO values on new port (xperia xz2)? the stock camera does have selection of ISO values for the same device16:00
abransonrinigus: do they work on the stock camera though? lots of modern cameras don't support ISO at all. we had to hack it into the xa216:02
T42<dontatmepls> https://del.dog/evawubocek oh no not again lmao, ill try a few times today and continue tomorrow if it still doesnt work, but thank you all so much for the help16:02
abransonpiggz-o-vision queries the cam params, while the stock camera gives you whatever its dconf says it should16:03
abransondroid-camres doesn't query iso afaik. just inserts default values.16:03
deathmist@dontatmepls is your sb2 tooling actually for 3.2.0.12? it should be in the name, so "sdk-assistant list" should have it16:05
T42<dontatmepls> just says SailfishOS-latest deathmist16:05
deathmist@dontatmepls that's... wrong. not sure if that affects things, but it should be in format "SailfishOS-$RELEASE". that build error is obscure. are you sure you haven't run out of space on the disk with the sources?16:08
T42<dontatmepls> 30gb free, dont think so16:09
T42<dontatmepls> i can extend the storage though16:09
deathmistthe entire source tree should take about 50 GB with everything built (at least it does for me), if you have 30 GB free it should be plenty16:10
T42<dontatmepls> so what should i do now16:11
deathmistwe probably should try building mic image with "--debug" flag to see what could be wrong as that error is too generic. see HADK section 8.5 for the "old fashioned" full command line of mic and append it there16:14
T42<dontatmepls> running in debug now, will send the full log if it errors out again16:17
rinigus_abranson: good point. indeed, changing iso doesn't really change anything16:20
rinigus_anyway, camera support at aosp is remarkably bad. just wanted to check out16:20
T42<dontatmepls> deathmist i think it worked, its packing rootfs now, ill get back to you later16:22
deathmistvery strange :D  good that it works, you may have a bunch of other issues while flashing stuff too, so check HADK, FAQ & logs (see link I sent before) to resolve them if possible. good luck!16:24
T42<dontatmepls> okay now i REALLY have a stupid question, where is the zip xD16:28
T42<dontatmepls> it says it added stuff to a zip but i cant find it rn16:28
T42<dontatmepls> nvm found it lol16:30
deathmist@dontatmepls oh right you were doing 16.0 too? it has undocumented stuff that's only in logs currently, for one you may need a patched version of LineageOS' /system/etc/ld.config.28.txt and if you really need it, droid-hal-init will keep failing even if everything else is correct16:33
T42<dontatmepls> ill first test this build here, ill see if its broken in a few secs :)16:34
deathmisteven "telnet 192.168.2.15 23" or Mer boat loader in host's "sudo lsusb -v" / "dmesg -w" is a good start :p16:40
abransonrinigus_: I think it wasn't really carried through to recent android versions. the old style ISO was a semi-automatic vendor specific thing that controlled the shutter speed and exposure around the manual ISO setting. when that got formalized in Android, all three became configurable in a 'manual mode'. the vendor tags are still there and it's possible to re-shim them into an ISO setting, but I don't think there's any16:54
abranson future in it.16:54
abransonrinigus_: if you want it, here's how to hook it up: https://github.com/mer-hybris/android_frameworks_av/commit/4eb7f0418c4b4696be2d86aa7b401e043fbb564316:55
T42<adampigg> Or, just use piggz-o-vision as the one true sfos camera app ;)16:57
abransonpiggz: do you hide the ISO control if there aren't any values?16:58
T42<adampigg> I think mal discussed adding that16:58
T42<adampigg> Abranson, its @adampigg btw here ;)16:58
abransonit's late, fingers are lazy :)16:59
T42<adampigg> Late??16:59
abransoni was up early :)16:59
T42<adampigg> What tz?16:59
abransoni'm a full hour ahead of you here16:59
T42<adampigg> A whole 1 eh17:00
abransonzzzz17:01
T42<adampigg> @eugenio_g7, i will update latte submodules and mw for an update to 3.217:04
malabranson: disabling that iso is on my todo list17:06
mal@adampigg I just updated my main fp2 to 3.2.017:08
T42<adampigg> Mal, mido working fine17:08
T42<adampigg> Mal, did u fix the video recor blanking?17:08
mal@adampigg hmm, not sure if I remembered to do that yet, was it broken?17:09
T42<adampigg> It wasnt implemented, i know u talked about it, jist noticed the issue was still open and wasnt sure if u fixed17:09
T42<adampigg> I think u did17:10
mal@adampigg https://github.com/piggz/harbour-advanced-camera/pull/9017:11
malseems like I did fix it17:11
T42<adampigg> Yeah, i just tested :)17:11
T42<eugenio_g7> @adampigg: cool!17:12
T42<dontatmepls> yeah its bootlooping now oof17:14
mal@adampigg close the issue then17:14
T42<dontatmepls> on the new device17:14
deathmist@dontatmepls guessing around 90 sec before reboot? see if /data/.stowaways/sailfishos/init.log exists from TWRP and put it on pastebin if it does17:19
T42<dontatmepls> instantly, probably selinux17:19
T42<dontatmepls> ill disable that17:19
maldisable it correctly17:20
malit's possible to disable it the wrong way17:20
T42<dontatmepls> whats the wrong way?17:20
deathmist@dontatmepls how did you disable it? I kept it on in defconfig, enabled SECURITY_SELINUX_BOOTPARAM and did "selinux=0" on boot cmdline17:22
malyou should have CONFIG_AUDIT=y, CONFIG_SECURITY_SELINUX_BOOTPARAM=y and selinux=017:22
T42<dontatmepls> i didnt disable yet, am doing it exactly how youre saying ir en :)17:22
deathmistafter rebuilding kernel with "mka hybris-boot", flashing the fresh hybris-boot.img from out/ to boot partition is enough for testing purposes17:24
T42<dontatmepls> aight cheers17:24
deathmistmal: is keeping audit enabled important? I disable it on boot but get GUI etc17:27
malwell some devices need it for RIL I think17:28
deathmistI actually have issues with cellular, will have to give it a go too as it's some issue on droid level stuff http://www.merproject.org/logs/%23sailfishos-porters/%23sailfishos-porters.2019-11-10.log.html#t2019-11-10T09:24:2117:29
T42<dontatmepls> https://del.dog/qavisurezi what did i manage to break this time guys xdddd17:31
rinigusabranson: if there is no future in it, I'll stay out of it too. would be good to hide it in p-o-v if there nothing to show.17:32
deathmist@dontatmepls uh, did you build it in HA_BUILD instead of PLATFORM_SDK?17:37
deathmistduh I see the prompt in the log, you need to do your "ubu-chroot" command17:38
T42<dontatmepls> ......oh17:39
T42<dontatmepls> oh my god17:39
deathmistthen the usual steps that are in HADK I think like "source build/envsetup.sh" and so on17:39
T42<hacker12455> yeah17:39
T42<dontatmepls> yeah like a normal android build, i know that much, but nothing hybris, gotta start somewhere :)17:41
abransonrinigus: how is the xz2 otherwise?17:57
rinigusabranson: haven't used it much. will have to setup obs and ask for store access to get my mails working, then can switch over. then can tell more17:59
abransonthat was very quick17:59
abransonit hasn't been out long has it?18:00
rinigus... otherwise - fast, as far as I can see. but that's expected. very slippery, so I just got a skin to keep it in hand better18:00
rinigusas a device, xz2 was out apr 201818:01
rinigusabranson: but would have to start properly using it before I can judge more. and fix bugs as I find them18:02
abransonvery nice18:04
T42<adampigg> mal: can i delete https://build.merproject.org/package/show/nemo:devel:hw:xiaomi:latte/pulseaudio-modules-droid-keepalive ?18:25
piggzmal, also, can18:46
piggzbluetooth-rfkill-event-hciattach18:46
piggzbroadcom-bluetooth18:46
piggzbe moved to native-common?18:46
piggzthen, there is almost no per-device native packages!18:46
T42<adampigg> @eugenio_g7 is our custom sensorfw-qt5 needed still?18:47
T42<dontatmepls> still bootloops with selinux disabled, weird18:48
deathmist@dontatmepls you sure you disabled it with "selinux=0" on boot cmdline? you can find the file with "grep KERNEL_CMDLINE -r device/"18:49
deathmistshow ".config" also from out/18:49
T42<adampigg> does it boot loop, or reboot to recovery?18:53
T42<dontatmepls> yeah, boardconfig.mk has that, and kernel config also has the required flags set18:53
T42<dontatmepls> shows bootlogo, black screen and notification led for a sec, and reboot18:54
T42<dontatmepls> does not go to the recovery18:56
piggzok, thats not the selinux problem I had a week back18:56
deathmisthm, is it still rebooting instantly or after 90 seconds / whatever else?18:57
T42<dontatmepls> i let it run for 2 mins now i dont think its healthy for the device so i turned it off19:01
T42<dontatmepls> its not rebooting to fastboot/recovery, only bootlogo, blackscreen and repeat19:01
T42<dontatmepls> ohhh my i think i found the problem causer :)19:05
piggzmal: abranson: this is approved, but not merged https://github.com/mer-hybris/droid-hal-version/pull/1419:27
deathmistpiggz: I assume the commits shall be squashed to one, i.e. no fix commit :p19:29
T42<adampigg> deathmist: that can be done from github UI20:01
*** electro is now known as Guest9201620:11
T42<dontatmepls> why tf is fscrypt not complying now i literally didnt do anything in kernel for the past 2 builds or so https://del.dog/milofubovo20:22
riniguslbt: please patternise nemo:devel:hw:sony:h821620:43
T42<eugenio_g7> @adampigg: no, not needed anymore20:57
T42<adampigg> @eugenio_g7 ensors not working :/21:03
T42<adampigg> @eugenio_g7 oh, what kind of update?21:04
T42<eugenio_g7> @adampigg hmmm :/ the sensorfw commit should be in 3.2.021:06
T42<adampigg> Nov 13 21:05:47 Sailfish sensorfwd[2597]: Plugin not available: "iioaccelerometeradaptor"21:06
T42<adampigg> yes, we were on version 0.11.0, new one in 0.11.421:06
T42<eugenio_g7> Hmmm I need to fire up my latte then :D21:07
T42<adampigg> this is the version i have:21:08
T42<adampigg> v  | sensorfw-qt5             | package    | 0.11.0-1.8.2.jolla    | i486   | adaptation-community21:08
T42<adampigg> i+ | sensorfw-qt5             | package    | 0.11.4-1.2.1.jolla    | i486   | adaptation-community-native-common21:08
T42<elros34> iioaccelerometeradaptor is renamed to iiosensorsadaptor21:10
T42<adampigg> ah21:11
T42<eugenio_g7> Huh, makes sense21:11
T42<adampigg> i just found that descrepancy21:11
T42<adampigg> comparing the rpm contents21:11
T42<adampigg> @eugenio_g7 @elros34  working now ... will update the config21:14
T42<adampigg> @eugenio_g7 https://build.merproject.org/project/show/nemo:devel:hw:xiaomi:latte is a very small project now ... and im wondering if the BT ones can also got to native-common21:21
T42<eugenio_g7> perhaps21:36
T42<eugenio_g7> updating now :)21:40
T42<adampigg> be aware of mesa packages being installed.....21:41
T42<adampigg> i got 2 llvmpipe versions installed for some reason21:41
T42<adampigg> i uninstalled, and force-installed the proper package and it was fine21:41
T42<elros34> is there anyway to limit tracker storage usage? It always fill my whole memory after system upgrade. 1GB for cache is a lot21:54
deathmistseems dhd submodule commit from 3 days ago breaks my local mic build, running old removed command from https://git.io/JerB3 works fine, running build_packages -i yields "installing package X needs Y MB on the / filesystem" for all downloaded packages and build fails. I do have the line it looks for too https://git.io/JerBn21:59
T42<nitin_3> same here22:00
T42<nitin_3> old script works fine though22:01
deathmistmal: probably should check that out, maybe others are affected too22:04
T42<nitin_3> deathmist22:06
T42<nitin_3> did you solve your audio issue?22:06
T42<eugenio_g7> @adampigg: ok, up and running on 3.2.0 \o/23:50
