juicemeNow I managed to have some time to build 2.0.4.14/cm12.1 for Hammerhead last weekend.08:01
juicemeI noticed that I still have to tweak "android/droid/rpm/dhd/helpers/build_packages.sh" script so that qt5-qpa-hwcomposer-plugin uses qt-5.2 and sensorfw is taken from git.merproject.org...08:02
juicemeAre those supposed to be fixed in some timeframe?08:02
juicemeThe device boots OK, but has severe stability problems;08:02
juiceme  1.) When waking up the device after screen blank, there is a spinner spinning on black background, I need to double-push power button to get to homescreen.08:03
juiceme  2.) When I set up Jolla Account it takse a *long* time, and the process displays continue/cancel dialog repeatedly.08:03
juiceme  3.) Store opens and shows applications OK, but I cannot install anything, it always fails in "problem in store"08:04
juiceme  4.) journal shows all kinds of DBUS problems, relating to credentials and store.08:04
juiceme  5.) Seems that camera is also not working.08:04
juiceme  6.) I flashed the sensorsfix3.zip, but still sensors are not working at all.08:04
juiceme  7.) I did encounter few spontaneous restarts, about 20 minutes after uperation.08:05
juicemedrFaustroll, any idea how to solve these? ^^^08:05

guhlsledges, aha interesting so i have to check when hybris-11.0 was last updated from cm11:42
riniguskimmoli: do you know why there are 67 sensors.qcom threads on onyx? For comparison, on mako, its about 10x smaller number. I suspect that such high number of threads may drive the load to as high as you see on onyx.11:42
riniguskimmoli: not that the load is that important, as long the phone sleeps... but having so many threads for sensors.qcom + 28 sensorsfwd could probably strain scheduler a bit.11:42
riniguskimmoli: don't know much about other devices, maybe such high numbers are norm these days?11:42

ghosalmartinits not20:05
deprecatedminimec, to answer your question though, my preliminary testing was done with the "3" option in /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpufreq/zzmoove/profile_number , and I didn't get the 1% per minute drain I've been getting on 2.0.4.1420:06
deprecatedYes, changed GPU settings as well20:06
ghosalmartinkrnlyng, it used to be though20:06

deprecatedStill can't get zzmove to load, lol I have no idea what happened. That's three flashes. Worked fine the first time round, now it won't load20:09
deprecatedfind / -name20:09
deprecateder20:09
deprecatedfind / -name "*zzmove*" 2> /dev/null shows nothing20:10
minimecdeprecated: I realised that you have to set the governor first. Then, and only then the "/sys/devices/system/cpu/cpufreq/zzmoove/profile_number" file will be available.20:11
krnlyngghosalmartin: either copy and paste or find the commit that removed it :)20:11
ghosalmartinkrnlyng: if its been removed though, shouldnt it stay removed?20:11
krnlyngghosalmartin: well if you don't add it the library cannot be linked20:13
ghosalmartinkrnlyng: could there be a shim to provide it? it seems available in android 720:13
ghosalmartinodd20:13
krnlyngghosalmartin: maybe you can find a different version of that lib that doesn't reference that symbol20:13
deprecatedminimec, yeah I just can't get the scaling_governor set to zzmove anymore20:13
deprecated[root@Nexus5 cpufreq]# echo "conservative" > scaling_governor20:13
deprecated[root@Nexus5 cpufreq]# echo "zzmove" > scaling_governor20:13
deprecatedbash: echo: write error: Invalid argument20:13
deprecatedconservative and other governors load, just not zzmove20:13
krnlyngghosalmartin: or a shim yes...20:14
minimecdeprecated: Maybe try to create the file first then.20:14
ghosalmartinkrnlyng: since normal android works, so i assume it managed to link before libhybris20:14
ghosalmartinalthough the source code is empty for it20:14
minimecdeprecated: If I remember well, I did that.20:14
krnlyngghosalmartin: did android use the same version of libc definately?20:15
ghosalmartinkrnlyng: what do you mean the same version? am using the one from bionic that ive built with libdsyscalls20:15
krnlyngghosalmartin: what you also could do as a quick hack is to add a hook from __fwrite_chk to my_fwrite in libhybris20:15
krnlyngghosalmartin: i mean is the symbol defined in cyanogenmods libc?20:16
krnlyngthe one you use as base20:16
ghosalmartinkrnlyng: hmm its not in the version of libc am using20:16
ghosalmartinkrnlyng: i might just import it to the libc thats being built to make life easier20:19
ghosalmartinkrnlyng: i just realized what ive done wrong20:22
ghosalmartini flashed android 720:22
ghosalmartinwhich obviously flashed android 7 vendor20:23
ghosalmartinwhich is why its asking for fwrite_chk20:23
ghosalmartini'll reflash the vendor partition :P20:24
krnlyngah :)20:26
drFaustrolldeprecated: probably not supported on that kernel20:27
minimecdrFaustroll: deprecated: The 'zzmoove' governor is supported in the new kernel we test for the Nexus5. But we are experiencing some problems sometimes.20:30
drFaustrollminimec: is this some random kernel someone did?20:31
deprecatedI fixed it20:33
klopsi-u3project tango20:33
krnlyngghosalmartin: but thats also interesting, maybe we don't need to upgrade the linker for android 7 then :P if it doesn't crash but just fails finding symbols20:33
deprecatedminimec, I'm getting a discharge rate of ~83-91mA in AIDA20:33
krnlyngwhich are not there :)20:33
deprecatedminimec, that's with zzmoove, an underclock to 1.7GHz, your voltage table and a GPU downclock to 320MHz20:34
deprecatedminimec, how does yours look?20:34
ghosalmartinkrnlyng: i dont think we will need to tbh20:34
minimecdrFaustroll: It is a kernel based on the 'mer/hammerhead' sources, tweaked by user 'mautz'. He added undervolting, simple-gpu-governor, blu_active,blu_plug, USB-fastcharge, zzmoore...20:34
klopsi-u3project tango20:34
ghosalmartinkrnlyng: but thats using a android 6 base20:34
ghosalmartini was using the nexus 5x on android the last 4 days, and ive gotten used to the fingerprint scanner, so I need sfos on it :P20:35
minimecdeprecated: Well... What is AIDA? ;)20:35
deprecatedAIAD64 in the Jolla store, it'll show your current battery discharge rate/cpu etc20:36

minimecdeprecated: OK. Installing...20:36
deprecatedStrange, it's the same discharge rate with the WiFi radio toggled off. May have to look into that.20:37
deprecatedEither way, most I've seen with these settings is ~95, previously with the stock governor and settings it was in the 650-900 range, so I say this is a marked improvement :D20:38
klopsi-u3project tango20:40
deprecatedOh I also set the max cores with screen off to 1, as the default is 2. And the min cores overall to 1, default is also 2.20:42
deprecatedSo it can idle down as much as possible.20:42

minimecdeprecated: I am higher than you, but I see you also tweaked the CPU 'core' settings. Maybe just post them on the forum too... ;)20:46
minimecdeprecated: I would be around 140mA with 'zzmoove', setting '3'20:47
