NetweaverSage: I was doing it inside screen both times when it collapsed. And 1st time it booted fine to the complete gui, I could continue the zypper dup with the significantly reduced package list but then the whole phone got v unstable. Terminal died just like that, no apps wanted to start anymore. I rebooted and then I ended in this situation. Anyway, I'm in now via ssh, I stopped NetworkManger on my Ubuntu box, sonnection is stable an08:45

Netweaversage sledges: something is fishy with the uSD card ... I tried to rewrite the image from yesterday and now the kernel panics already after the 3rd kernel message (the one abt the unable to open rtc device): "Not syncing: No init found." already wrote the image 2x, similar behaviour ... Crappy SD card ?09:35
SageNetweaver: bad luck with sdcard write probably09:35
sledgesNetweaver, how do you prepare your µSD ? In Windows "Safely Remove Hardware" is mandatory. In Linux - sync && sync after dd'ing09:37
NetweaverSledges: I did do the safely remove all 3 times (yest and 2x today) ... Once bitten, twice shy.09:39

I then used ur procedure here : http://www.mail-archive.com/mer-general@lists.merproject.org/msg01158.html to go to the rnd repos. and I'm nnow doing the zypper dup in screen. Finger crossed.10:20

sledgesSage, column header = where is the source code located12:30
sledgesrow header: where are the yaml/spec located12:31
sledgescells: what packaging should be used12:31
Sageif mandatory requirements changes that fails the package build and stops future promotions automatically12:31
dm8tbrthose boxes should be used to it, the CDROM still has an opensuse install CD in them from when they were part of MeeGo OBS ;)12:31
sledgesI might have gotten all competely wrong fillin in the cells, hence comments welcome12:31
Sagesledges: well that is strange table in general imo12:33
sledgesthose are all the possibilities12:33
sledgesmany of them N/A12:33
sledgesbut where valid, would be good to know what's to be used (tar_git git_pkg ..)12:34
sledgesfeel free to N/A most of them (I just placed '-', as I was generally speculating about filling in cells, but headers do make sense)12:35
* Sage doesn't know how to fix that :)12:36

Sagesledges: starting to cleanup the SDL stuff you have and making them to a package that we can push to nemo mw16:16
sledgesSage, SDL is still on COBS and with harmattan-sdl GLESv1 games do not run (either sdl problem, or as Stskeeps 'we don't really support GLESv1 on Mer/Nemo etc'16:19
Sageyes, well will do it based on upstream etc.16:20
Sagelets see how it goes16:20
*** sv has joined #nemomobile16:21
sledgesok, now it's in "non harmattan-sdl" state16:22
sledgeshence is not GLES enabled16:22
*** discopig has quit IRC16:22
sledgesbut most stable16:22
sledgesand runs numptyphysics oob :)16:23
sledgesplease ignore the SDL_gles package16:23
sledgesis irrelevant/redundant16:23
sledgesit's good you chose the stable repo of mines ;)16:24
Sage:P16:24
sledgesfunny thing, harmattan-sdl version breaks numptyphysics as well (a non GLES game)  (cc: thp , wheres's he? :))16:25
sledgesso best to start vacuuming away that harmattan-sdl.zip and forget about it :)16:25
Sageok, I'll start from fedora rpm's :D16:25
sledgeshehe16:26
sledgeswell, the way it is now, it's sure to work ;P SDL-1.2.15.tar.gz + patch collection16:26
sledgesapologies, *.patch should also go, they are all harmattany16:27
sledgesso SDL-1.2.15.tar.gz is last known to work, and that's where that repo is at16:27
Sagestarting from fedora to which we are close is easier probalby16:29
Sagesry :)16:29
faenilhey guys is there any updated guide for triple boot on n95016:29
faenil?16:29
sledgesif fedora has .spec / .yaml, and >1.2.15, go for it, and anyway, good luck ;)16:29
sledgesjuiceme, ^^16:30
* sledges 's knowledge was a bit rusty when it comes to SDL, anyhow, it worked16:31
sledgess/SDL/SDL packaging/16:31
sledgesfaenil, found it: http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=89345 ( juiceme , ignore the ^^ ;) )16:32
faenilsledges, 1o16:33
faenilforgot the name, ubiboot :)16:33
* sledges never knew it :D just remembered the author16:33
* Sage takes packaging from fedora, assumes that all the deps are not unneeded and starts building SDL16:34
sledgesubiboot very much crosses with UBI http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UBIFS16:34
sledges*confuses16:35
* Sage ponders why fedora removes symbian.zip from sdl tarball16:35
Sage- added repackage.sh script to remove joyos2,h and symbian.zip because of licensing problems16:36
Sagefiles are from 2007 in that zip16:37
